Assam: flash floods submerge Balipara area in Sonitpur district

In Assam, flash flood submerged Balipara areas in Sonitpur district. Sonitpur Deputy Commissioner told that surging water from Arunachal Pradesh inundated many areas of that locality in the wee hours of today. He said that nearly 35 thousand people have been affected due to floods. National and State Disaster Response Force have been deployed with boats in rescue operation. Road communication snapped due to flood at some areas . Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal has instructed district administration to take all measures to help affected people
