Hyderabad, Oct.28 (PMI): On August 7, 2023, one Naresh Ingle of Hyderabad dashed his car to another car No. AP22 AQ 3299 of Jagan of Kalwakurthy in the limits of Kalwakurthy P.S. Jagan, owner of Swift Dzire, forcibly took him to Maruti Nexa showroom, Kalwakurthy. Anjaneyulu, A.S.I of Kalwakurthy P.S. visited the spot and seized his driving license and took him and his family members to Kalwakurthy Police Station. Later, Anjaneyulu, A.S.I. demanded a bribe of Rs 5,000/- to him and also to pay Rs 30,000/- to Jagan, Swift Dzire Car Owner.
On the demand of the A.S.I., the complainant Naresh Ingle paid Rs 3,500/- cash to the accused and sent the remaining balance amount of Rs 1,500/- through Google Pay to the A.S.I. He also paid Rs 30,000/- to Jagan, Swift Dzire Car owner, through his Google Pay. Thus, Anjaneyulu, A.S.I. of Police, Kalwakurthy PS, performed his duties improperly and dishonestly which constitutes an offence punishable under PC Act. Hence, a case Cr. No. 6/RCO-ACB- MBNR/2023, U/s 7 (a) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (As amended in 2018) has been registered against him on October 28, 2023 in ACB, Mahbubnagar Range. (PMI)
