ARREST OF NOTORIOUS MOBILE THEFT OFFENDERS WHO ARE INVOLVED IN (12) CASES FROM HYDERABAD CITY & CYBERABAD CITY BY CRIME TEAM S.R.NAGAR POLICE STATION AND RECOVERED CELL PHONES (51 CELL PHONES WORTH RS.10,20,000/-
Hyderabad; 20 Dec 2024 (PMI): On 18.12.2024 the Crime team of SR Nagar P.S arrested the below persons near Hitech City Railway Station, Hyderabad while they were moving under suspicious circumstances.

A1. Govind Bandari @ Padma Bandari, Age: 24 Years, Occ: Cook in
Fast Food Centre at Hitech City. N/o Nepal Country
A2. Hikmat Rawal, Aged 23, Occ: cook in a fast-food centre at Ranigunj
N/o Nepal Country
MODUS OPERAND:
The A1 and A2 identify the Hostels. Then A1 entered the hostel room in the early morning hours while roommates were sleeping. Then A1 stole the mobile phones and fled the scene. Then they are planning to dispose of the cell phones in Nepal.
BRIEF HISTORY:
The A2 is A1’s brother-in-law, both of whom are from Nepal and have been staying in Hyderabad for 6 years. To make easy money, they started committing thefts of cell phones at selected hostels where they could enter the rooms. For the past 6 months, they have been stealing cell phones from selected hostels and bachelors’ rooms. A2 used to help A1 dispose of the stolen cell phones. They committed many offenses in the Hyderabad and Cyberabad Commissionerates.
ACCUSED INVOLVED IN THE BELOW CASES:

Cr.No:1102/2024 of PS SR Nagar‘7. Cr.No:1106/2024 of PS SR Nagar’8. Cr.No:1107/2024 of PS SR Nagar’ 9. Cr.No: 842/2024of PS Balanagar,’Cyberabad’10. Cr.No:1416/2024 of PS KPHB, Cyberabad’11. Cr.No:1159/2024 of PS Jeedimetla, Cyberabad’12. Cr.No:1508/2024 of PS Kukatpally, Cyberabad.
Police seized 51 mobile phones from their possession. Out of these 27 were identified and different cases were registered at various police stations in Hyderabad and Cyberabad commissionerate. The remaining 24 cell phones have yet to be identified. Efforts are ongoing to trace out the remaining cell phone owners.
Under the direct supervision of Sri P.Venkataramana, Asst. Commissioner of Police, S.R. Nagar Divn, under the able guidance of Sri. T. Srinath Reddy, Station House Officer, and Sri. M. Gopal, Detective Inspector of Police, of SR Nagar P.S has arrested the accused persons with the assistance of Sri.Y.Suraj, SI of Police Sri. Ramana Murthy, PC 4753, Sri. Murali Krishna PC 404, Sri. B. Mohan Rao PC 2596, Sri. Ram PC 30011, Sri. Ch. Vasu HG 7456.
