AP Police Crack Gold Theft Case; Recover 624 Grams of Gold Worth ₹60 Lakhs

Kakinada: Nov 15 (PMI) In a significant breakthrough, the Kakinada District Police have successfully solved a major gold theft case, recovering 624 grams of gold ornaments valued at nearly ₹60 lakhs. The swift action by the police led to the arrest of three accused individuals involved in the crime, restoring the stolen property to its rightful owner.

According to officials, the case was registered following a complaint about missing gold ornaments from a residence in Kakinada. Acting on the complaint, police teams launched an intensive investigation, analyzing available clues, surveillance footage, and conducting coordinated searches across multiple locations. Their efforts culminated in identifying and apprehending the three suspects linked to the theft.

During interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed to the crime and disclosed the location of the stolen ornaments. Police subsequently recovered the entire 624 grams of gold, ensuring no loss to the victim.

#APPolice Director General Harish Kumar Gupta, IPS, commended the Kakinada Police for their professionalism and efficiency. He praised the investigating officers for their commitment, stating that such prompt action not only resolves crimes but also strengthens public trust in law enforcement.

The DGP further highlighted that the AP Police remain dedicated to maintaining law and order, ensuring swift justice, and safeguarding the property and security of citizens.
