Annual Meeting of Markazi Anjuman Matami Grouhaan Emphasis on Patience and Discipline during Mourning Najaf Al Shoukat.

Hyderabad, June  16, 2025(Ali Abbas -PMI)  The annual meeting of Markazi Anjuman Matami Grouhan (MAMG), a Central Association of Matami Groups, was held on Sunday and presided over by its President, Mr. Syed Najaf Ali Shoukat, at Panjetani, its headquarters.
In his opening message, the MAMG president emphasized spreading the message of Imam Hussain (AS) and following the path he laid out. He urged participants to keep Imam Hussain’s mission at the forefront of all mourning activities.
Mr Shoukat said that MAMG is taking up the work of Coordination with Authorities and Organizational Responsibilities during the mourning period.


Mr. Shoukat informed the gathering that, as every year, the association had engaged with all relevant departments to ensure smooth arrangements for the mourning period. He also briefed participants on their responsibilities and pledged to oversee all arrangements meticulously.
Participation and suggestions from representatives of 25 Matami organizations who attended the meeting. Their valuable suggestions and advice to improve mourning arrangements were noted, and they were assured that they would look into it.
Participants discussed plans to enhance the organization and accessibility of mourning events.
Speakers stressed the significance of collective unity and maintaining order in all mourning activities. It was advised that special attention should be given to ensure that processions or gatherings do not disrupt public movements. The use of volunteers for smooth traffic management was emphasized.


The president shared a significant update, announcing that the legal case filed by a self-proclaimed group against the legitimate Central Association had been dismissed. However, efforts to restore the association’s rights are ongoing.
Mr. Shoukat reiterated his commitment to justice, stating that he had repeatedly invited opposing parties to resolve issues in the presence of the sacred court of Sayyida Fatima (SA). He reaffirmed his determination to keep mourning rituals free from disputes and maintain their sanctity.
Prominent members, including Syed Najabat Hussain Abidi (president of Groh e Sajjadiya), Maqsood Ali Khan (president of Anjuman e Zain UL Abedeen), Mir Hyder Ali Razvi (Working President Anjuman Parwane Jafferya), Mir Mehdi (president of Groh e Shoda e Karbala) ‘Syed Sadiq Hussain Razvi (Anjuman e Hyderya Al Hind), and others, addressed the gathering. The session concluded with our traditional elegies by Mr. Amir Ali Chhote Bhai ( president Groh e Kazmi Qadeem), and Mr. Tanveer Agha ( president Groh e Jaffri-Agha abbasi),
The meeting served as a platform for reflection, discussion, and preparation for upcoming religious events, reinforcing the spirit of unity and respect among the community.
