Patna; Nov 14 (Ali Abbas Jaffri-PMI) As the results of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections begin to firm up, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) is once again emerging as a notable force—particularly in the Seemanchal belt.
After surprising many in the 2020 Assembly polls by winning five seats, AIMIM appears set for another respectable performance this year. The party has traditionally drawn its strength from the Seemanchal region, an area with a significant Muslim population and comprising 24 Assembly constituencies. Early trends suggest that the region continues to favour the party.
As of 1:00 pm on Friday, AIMIM is reported to be leading in five constituencies, including:
-
Kochadhaman (Kishanganj)
-
Amour (Purnea)
-
Baisi (Purnea)
-
(remaining seat details awaited due to incomplete trend data)
Meanwhile, the Congress appears to be the poorest performer within the INDIA bloc, lagging behind most alliance partners as counting progresses (pressmediaofindia.com)
