Hyderabad; 19 Nov 2024 ( PMI ): Sri. P. Viswa Prasad, IPS, Addl. Commissioner of Police, Traffic attended the Traffic Awareness Programme at TTI Begumpet. It addressed, emphasizing that all commuters, two-wheeler riders, and Auto and Car Drivers must strictly adhere to the traffic rules and cases will be booked against those who contravene the traffic rules and regulations. The traffic Branch will continue its Enforcement work against the violators. Due to lack of awareness often leads to violations, particularly cases of drunken driving. The officer stressed the importance of proper counseling for violators and creating awareness to reduce instances of drunken driving and other traffic offenses. Pedestrian safety was also emphasized as a priority. The pedestrians were urged to use foot over bridges to cross roads wherever available. In areas without footpaths, pedestrians should walk on the left or right side facing oncoming traffic to avoid accidents.
