Hyderabad Jan 19 (PMI) Additional Commissioner of Police (Crimes & SIT), M. Srinivas, IPS, on Monday conducted a comprehensive review meeting with officials of the Women Safety Wing (WSW) to assess ongoing initiatives and strengthen measures related to women’s safety in Hyderabad City
The meeting was attended by Lavanya NJP, DCP, Women Safety Wing, along with officers of SI rank and above from the seven Women Police Stations (WPS), SHE Teams, Bharosa Centres, Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), and Juvenile Bureau Unit (JBU).
During the meeting, Mr. Srinivas instructed officers to treat victims with empathy and sensitivity, ensuring a supportive and reassuring environment for women approaching the police. He also directed officials to prioritise and expedite the execution of Non-Bailable Warrants (NBWs) to ensure strict compliance with legal procedures.
Special emphasis was laid on the role of SHE Teams, with the Addl. CP instructed them to remain highly vigilant at the ongoing Numaish (All India Industrial Exhibition) in Nampally, in order to prevent crimes against women and ensure the safety of visitors.
He further stressed the importance of timely disposal of pending cases and directed officers to work towards ensuring fair and speedy justice for all victims.
Reiterating the commitment of Hyderabad Police, Mr. Srinivas said that the department remains focused on enhancing safety and security for women across the city. (pressmediaofindia.com)
