Hyderabad, Sept.30 (Najaf Ali Shoukat_-PMI): The Anti-Corruption Bureau, Telangana registered a total of 23 cases/enquiries during the month of September 2025. Of these, 11 are Trap cases, 2 Disproportionate Assets cases, 2 Criminal Misconduct Cases, 6 Regular Enquiries and 2 Surprise Checks. Twenty-two public servants, including one outsourcing employee/private person, were trapped/arrested and remanded to judicial custody. An amount of Rs.8,91,000/- was seized in trap cases of various departments. In the Disproportionate Assets case, Disproportionate Assets worth Rs. 14,05,83,000/- were unearthed..
During the period from January 2025 to September 2025, the Burcau had registered 203 cases ie. 119 Trap cases, 13 Disproportionate Assets cases, 20 Criminal Misconduct Cases, 25 Regular Enquiries, 23 Surprise Checks and 3 Discreet Enquiries, trapped/arrested 189 public servants who included 15 outsourcing employees/private persons and remanded to judicial custody, seized an amount of Rs.42,03,500/- in trap cases and unearthed Assets worth Rs.58,36,18,724 in DA cases of various departments.
In the month of September-2025, the Bureau finalized 25 cases and sent Final Reports to the Government. The Bureau finalized 204 cases during the period from January 2025 to September 2025 and sent Final Reports to the Government.
The Bureau got conviction in one trap case i.e., Ch.Srinivas Raju @ Srinvas, Tahsildar, Thirumalagiri Mandal, Nalgonda District was convicted on Sept 16, 2025, in which the accused officer was sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year and to pay a fine of Rs.25,000 on two counts for the offence punishable U/sections 7 and 13(1)(d) r/w 13(2) of the PC Act, 1988.
