Hyderabad, March 1 (PMI): President of Markazi Anjuman Matami Grohaan (MAMG), Najaf Ali Shoukat, on Sunday strongly criticised the United States and Israel over reports of the alleged martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.
In a statement, Shoukat condemned what he described as a “dangerous escalation” and accused Israel of acting with impunity due to a lack of international accountability. He said the reported attack had deeply hurt sentiments across sections of the community.
The MAMG chief also expressed disappointment over what he termed the “silence and support” of several Muslim nations in the wake of the developments.
“What’s more disgraceful and shocking is the explicit and implicit support given by Muslim countries who chose convenience and expedience over conscience,” he said.
Shoukat further remarked that history would judge those who stood by Iran and those who, in his view, sided with oppressors.
“History will stand as testimony to who fought for justice and who helped the oppressors,” he added.
He reiterated that the situation could have serious regional consequences if tensions continue to escalate. (pressmediaofindia.com)
