Vikarabad’Feb 28 (PMI) Ahead of the proposed visit of the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to Ananthagiri Hills in Vikarabad District on March 2, elaborate security and traffic arrangements are being put in place by the district police.
District Superintendent of Police Sneha Mehra, IPS, on Saturday chaired a high-level review meeting at the District Police Office to assess preparedness for the VVIP visit. Senior police officials from across the district participated in the meeting.
During the review, the SP discussed in detail the bandobast plan, security deployment, and traffic regulation measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the visit. She directed officers to enforce stringent security measures at the helipad, along the convoy routes, and at the public meeting venue to prevent any untoward incidents.
A comprehensive security blueprint was presented through a PowerPoint presentation, outlining route maps, deployment points, and contingency plans. Officers were instructed to carry out advance inspections along the designated routes and to identify alternative routes to manage traffic flow and avoid inconvenience to commuters.
Emphasizing coordination and vigilance, the SP instructed all field personnel to remain alert and work in close coordination to ensure the visit concludes peacefully and without disruption to the public.
Additional SP B. Ramulu Naik, Parigi DSP Srinivas, Vikarabad DSP Srinivas Reddy, Tandur In-charge DSP Srinivasulu, DCRB DSP Janayya, AR DSP Veeresh, along with Circle Inspectors, Reserve Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, and other police officials, attended the meeting.(pressmediaofindia.com)
