Hyderabad : Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy today said that some hospitals will get a face lift soon with the government finalizing the tenders for setting up 78 dialysis units. On procuring the equipment and launching in the selected hospitals treatment will be offered to all the patients he said in a press release.
Reddy also said that about 9000 to 10000 patients registered under Arogyasri scheme will get benefit through the dialysis centers. The minister said that the government has taken a decision to set up RO plants in 26 hospitals and make use of 78 units of single used Dialysis Centers for the benefit of the patients. TSMSIDC has issued circular to this extent. The minister said that the RO plants will be set up on PPP model. Tenders are finalized for purchase of related equipment to provide free services to the patients. Already we have set up dialysis centers in Mahabubnagar, Sidhipet, Nizamabad and Adilabad districts and will increase their number in future. Now in 26 centers 78 dialysis centers will be launched to offer improved health services to the poor he said. The Minister said that current day busy life has resulting in the increase of dialysis patients. He alleged that the previous governments ignored to take steps in this regard. The TRS Government has taken steps to address the grievances of the dialysis patients whose number is increasing to 1500 to 2000 every year.
