41 Victims Receive Their Lost Mobile Phones
In an important public service initiative, the district police successfully retrieved and returned 41 mobile phones to their rightful owners. These phones had been reported lost at various police stations across the district over the past month. The recovered mobile devices were formally handed over to the victims by SP Kantilal Patil himself, symbolizing the department’s commitment to strengthening trust and ensuring quick grievance redressal.
Swift Action Through CEIR Portal
SP Patil highlighted that the CEIR portal, launched to curb mobile theft and misuse, has become an effective tool in tracing lost devices using IMEI-based tracking. Timely reporting, he said, allows police teams to coordinate effectively with telecom service providers to block and trace the phones.
