Hydera’ March 9 (PMI) The Cyberabad Police booked 273 motorists during weekend drunk-driving checks conducted at various locations across the city.
According to traffic police officials, the majority of offenders were two-wheeler riders. Of the total cases registered, 214 were two-wheeler drivers, 8 three-wheeler drivers, 49 four-wheeler drivers, and 2 heavy vehicle drivers.
Police said that 16 individuals recorded a blood alcohol content (BAC) level above 301 mg/100 ml, which is considered extremely dangerous and far beyond the permissible limit.
Officials stated that all those caught during the special drive will be produced before the court for further legal action.
The Cyberabad Traffic Police regularly conduct such enforcement drives to curb drunk driving and ensure road safety in the city. (pressmediaofindia.com)
