19 tonnes of PDS rice seized, man held in Hyderabad

Hyderabad; June 30 ( SALMAN YOUSUF PMI ): The KPHB police on Tuesday seized a lorry carrying rice meant for the Public Distribution Scheme (PDS) and arrested one person.

The police seized 19 tonnes of PDS rice and the vehicle. The arrested person, identified as Mohammed Nusrathullah (36) of Borabanda, was transporting the PDS rice to Karnataka after procuring it in the city from his sources, the KPHB police said. ( PMI )
