Hyderabad Mar 31 (PMI): Across Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, out of a total 2316 suspects, 2019, persons have been verified up to March 31 2020. Of these, 3 are positive cases and 1897 are home quarantined. So far, 1065 passports have been seized and handed over to the district authorities.
The Malkajgiri Police registered a case under section 188 IPC & sec 7 of Essential Commodities Act against Mahalaxmi kirana & General stores and Vinayaka Kirana store and apprehended two persons by name Dharma Ram S/o Bhema Ram and Rakam Bheemudu S/o R. Mallaiah who were found during a raid selling kirana items on higher prices and there by violated the rules imposed by Govt. of Telangana in view of lockdown.
Apart from 47 violation cases, 109 e-petty cases have been booked in the Commissionerate. In these 156 cases, 145 persons have been found violating the regulations. Also 88 two wheelers, 10 three wheelers and 14 four wheelers have been seized.
In a unique initiative, Rachakonda Police have rolled out online platform to seek the helping hands of good Samaritans. So far 84 volunteers have enrolled. All these will be guided to concerned police stations as per the requirement at various areas and reach out to the needy and vulnerable. The initiative brings on one common platform the persons and organizations who are willing to offer service and the police who are looking for volunteers and put in place coordinated and focused efforts.
