Hyderabad: An 18-year-old girl studying intermediate in Vijay Nagar Colony in the city is reported to have gone missing since August 17. According to a complaint lodged by the girl’s family with Shamshabad police on Wednesday, Shanmukapriya was working as an assistant director with ad film maker Kamal Setu and also acts in ad films.
Shanmukapriya went to Darjeeling by flight on August 17 saying that she had a film shooting there. The family and friends sent her off at the Shamshabad airport and she called the mother after landing at Darjeeling and told her that she will come back on August 28 after finishing the shooting.
However, Shanmukapriya did not come back nor did she call the family. Her mobile phone was switched off. The parents enquired her friends and colleagues but no one had any clue about her whereabouts. The girl’s mother in her complaint suspected one Sanjay Krishna and Pradeep who used to frequent to their house on the pretext of ad film projects.
The police are investigating the case and questioned the suspects who reported to have denied their role in Shanmukapriya’s missing.
