Hyderabad:16 August(Ali Abbas-PMI) The Abdullapurmet police recovered 16 kilograms of ganja from a car that crashed into a road divider at Battasingaram on Friday night.
Police said the driver of a Maruti Swift Dzire lost control near Nirmala Service Station and rammed into the divider. On receiving information, officers reached the spot and searched the vehicle.
Two packets of ganja were found in the car. The driver, Bhukya Madhu (33), a resident of Mahbubabad, had allegedly procured the contraband from Sadib of Khanapuram, Khammam, and was transporting it to Gokavaram in Rajahmundry when the accident occurred.
The police seized the ganja and arrested Madhu. A case has been registered against him under the NDPS Act.(pressmediaofindia.com)
