Hyderabad’ Feb.01 (PMI) : Cyberabad Police have recovered 1,190 stolen cell phones and handed them over to their respective owners. This was disclosed by Crime DCP K. Narasimha at a press conference held at the Commissionerate on Friday.
It was revealed that the stolen cell phones are being recovered through the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal. In the last 50 days, 1,190 stolen cell phones worth Rs. 3.55 crore have been recovered in five zones.
It was revealed that Madhapur CCS police recovered 255 cellphones, Balanagar 250, Medchal 208, Rajendranagar 157, Shamshabad 140, Balanagar Law and Order Zone Police 113, Medchal Law and Order Zone Police 41, Madhapur Zone Police 16, and Shamshabad Zone Police 10 each. The recovered phones were handed over to the affected owners. CCS, Law and Order Police officers and staff participated in this program.(Pressmediaofindia.com)
