Hyderabad’Dec’22’2022(PMI)As many as 1096 seized and abandoned vehicles have gone up for 15 th phase of public auction conducted by Hyderabad City Police at Goshamahal police grounds. On Wednesday under the supervision of Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad city.
During the auction, Sri Gajarao Bhupal IPS, Jt. CP, DD,Hyd addressed the bidders (who are mostly from automobile field) and requested them to bid in a fair manner.
About 550 bidders from AP & TS states attended the event and a total of 1093 vehicles were auctioned wherein 1068 abandoned/unclaimed scrap vehicles (1031two wheelers, 24 three wheelers and 03 four wheeler vehicles) of Hyderabad City were auctioned for Rs.70,25,000/- in scrap condition and the road worthy out of (38) vehicles 35 two wheelers were auctioned for Rs. 6,30,000And remaining 3 road worthy vehicles were rejected.The total amount received in the auction out of the sale of 1093 vehicles is Rs 76,55,000 This will be deposited in the Govt Treasury .
Despite notifying owners through press releases, most of them were reluctant to collect their vehicles. Some of the unclaimed vehicles condition have deteriorated to such an extent that they can only be sold to scrap dealers.
Chairman of auction committee Sri Gajarao Bhupal IPS,Jt.CP, DD, Hyd,Sri P.Karunakar, DCP-II, Traffic, Sri Maddipati Srinivas Rao, Addl DCP/Principal CPTC Petlaburz and other officers were present.
