Hyderabad, The City She Teams filed 665 charge-sheets from February 26 to March 2 against the Drunken Drivers and produced them in the III and IV Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Erramanzil, here.
On perusing the chargesheets, the III and IV Metropolitan Magistrate has awarded jail sentence to 109 accused and cancelled/suspended licenses of 79 offenders. Besides, the Magistrate imposed fine and realized Rs 14,25,700 from the accused. The convicts of jail sentence were sent to the Chanchalguda Jail. Police said the accused, who were caught and convicted in drunken drive, may face difficulties in getting government jobs, passport and visa clearance.
The accused will be sent for counseling at TTI. Goshamahal and Begumpet. The drive against drunken drivers and other Traffic violations was being continued to curb the Traffic violations and also for the safety of commuters on the road.
