On credible information the sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone Team laid a trap near Medicover Hospital, Opp. Secretariat, in the limits of Saifabad PS and apprehended (4) accused persons for indulging in illegally procuring and selling of LIPOSOMAL AMPHOTERICIN B INJECTIONS (Fungilip 50) in black market for ₹50,000/- each vial each 50 Mg(Original MRP: Rs.7,400/-)

Modus operandi
Liposomal Amphotericin B Injections is used to treat black fungal infections. The demand for Liposomal Amphotericin B Injections has been high in the market for many treated for COVID-19 patients and its MRP ₹7,400/- (50 mg vial), across brands and sudden rise in demand of the injections during covid pandemic situation and selling the same for Rs. 50,000/- each vial in black market.
Facts of the case :
High demand leads to shortage of key drug to treat Black Fungus infections the accused persons hatched a plan to gain easy money by illegally procuring the drug in low price and selling the same on high price for Rs. 50,000/- each vial to needy customers and sharing the profits.
Accordingly the main accused Dr.Dubl Ramesh Kumar is running Clinic at Saidabad and having contact with Doctors & Drug suppliers by name Dr. Lingala Raghavendra Goud (Doctor in Nikhil & Indo US Hospital, Malakpet), Jallu Srikanth (Pharmacist in Medicover Hospital, Saifabad) & Mohd Asad (Medical technician in Medicover Hospital) and sharing required medicines for patients.
During covid 19 pandemic situation and demand of Liposomal Amphotericin B Injections, the accused Dubl Ramesh Kumar was illegally procured Liposomal Amphotericin B Injections through medical agent by name Vutla Saidulu @ Sai, Occ. Medical agent R/o. Hyderabad (Absconding) and came into contact with associates 1)Dr. Lingala Raghavendra Goud, 2)Jallu Srikanth and 3)Mohd Asad and they both have hatched a plan for selling the same on high price for Rs. 50,000/- each vial to needy customers near Medicover Hospital, Opp. Secretariat without any valid documents & Doctor prescription and sharing the amount.
Arrest :-
Acting on a tip off information on 07-06-2021 the Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone team laid a trap near Medicover Hospital, Opp. Secretariat, in the limits of Saifabad PS and apprehended above (04) accused persons for trying to deliver the vials to customers and seized the drug etc.
The apprehended accused persons along with seized material were handed over to S.H.O. Saifabad PS, for taking further action.
The arrest was made under the supervision of Sri.P.Radhakishan Rao, Dy. Commissioner of Police (OSD), Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad lead by K.Nageswar Rao, Inspector of Police, Task Force, North Zone and SIs K.Srikanth, B.Parameshwar along with staff of Task Force North Zone Team, Hyderabad
