Hyderabad, Sept 17 (Shoukat_PMI): Hyderabad Cybercrime Police arrested 61 persons from other states in August and refunded a total of ₹1,01,39,338 to victims of various cybercrime cases, Additional CP (Crimes) Vishwaprasad said.
He stated that in August, 338 NCRP complaints were received, out of which 233 FIRs were registered at the Cybercrime Police Station and 90 FIRs at zonal cyber cells.
The arrested accused were involved in several types of fraud, including trading fraud, social media-related crimes, insurance fraud, digital arrest scams, unauthorized transactions, impersonation, loan fraud, copyright violations, and OTP fraud.
The accused hail from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and other states.
